摘要
本文仅就VLCC破损稳性计算中有关舱室形状描述和自由液面修正清问题，简单介绍一种简便、准确描述舱室形状、计算舱室要素和通过计算自由液面移动力矩进行自由液面修正的方法，它对简化VLCC稳性计算、提高计算精度，具有一定的实用价值。
In order to calculate the damaged stability of VLCC complying with IMO 73/78 MARPOL requirements', this paper presents simple and practical methods to describe the geometrical shape of various tanks, to calculate free surface effect. It was found that the calculated results are accurate enough fot practical purpose.
