摘要 RSS是一种可扩充的、轻量级的、多用途的元数据描述和内容聚合格式。由于RSS具有简单、规范、通用、容易自动生成等特点,因此越来越多的高质量的科技网站也采用这种方式来发布最新科技信息。基于RSS的科技信息聚合系统,针对当前图书情报机构的情报研究人员、学科馆员需要及时了解和跟踪当前最新科技进展的迫切需要而提出,能够实时或定时监控众多科技网站上最新的RSS信息发布情况,聚合报道各个学科最新的科技信息,对于科学研究的进展跟踪、动态监测、线索发现、热点分析都有一定的意义。 RDF Site Summary (RSS) is lightweight,multipurpose, extensible metadata description and syndication format. Because of its features of simplicity, standardization, generalization and easy to use, more and more high - quality scientific websites choose to use RSS to publish their new information. The RSS - based Science and Technology Information Syndication System is a system aiming at syndicate the high - quality RSS information published by man y scientific websites in RSS format. It can help librarians gather the latest science and technology information from websites and help them to trace, to monitor, to discover and to analyze the progress of sciences.
