Water pouring festival is a traditional festival of Dai, Bulang, De'ang and Achang nationalities in southwest China. It originated from 'po han hu xi' (pouring out the cold and playing). It turned out to be a traditional ceremony held by Persian people to celebrate the coming of the rain and the receding of the evil in Iran.
