摘要
本文就缺铜小麦“穗而不实”原因作了探讨,初步认为与植株总体糖水平下降、茎基部缺乏糖分积累和抽穗扬花期糖分向穗部转移滞缓不畅有关。
The purpose of this study is to investigate the mechanism of the sterility in wheat caused by copper deficiency. Microscopic examination of the pollen grains of copper-deficient plants revealed that more than 70% of them were irregularly developed and lack of starch, whereas only about 1/3 of those of the normal plants of the +Cu treatment had this symptom. Analysis of different parts of plants from the +Cu and ?Cu treatments showed that the level of carbohydrates in the copper-deficient plants started to decrease at the tillering stage, and the starch content in the spike was lower than or close to that in the stem at anthesis. However,with the normal plant, the starch content was higher in the spike than those in the stem and leaves, indicating that the poorly developed pollen grains and , consequently, the sterility of the copper-deficient plants might be described to the combined effects of lower level of carbohydrates and slower transloca-tion of starch in the plants, Moreover, the concentration of soluble solids in the 1st and 2nd basal internodes of the normal wheat plants was significantly higher than those in other plant parts while there was no such obvious difference in the copper-deficient wheat plants, indicating that the content of soluble solids in the basal internodes at anthesis was closely related to the seedset percentage in wheat plants.
