摘要
In 1989, in concert with the construction of the highway from Jinan to Qingdao, a rescuing excavation was carried out on the Xiejiabu site in Changle County, Shandong. The site is about 10,000 sq m in remaining area and 1 - 3.5m high above the surrounding ground. The work resulted in the revelation of 68 tombs, 27 ash-pits, two house-foundations, a pottery-firing kiln and a well of the Longshan, Shang-Zhou and Han-Tang periods. The unearthed objects include mainly pottery and porcelain, and also bronze, iron, stone and jade artifacts. As a group of vestiges covering a long time, from the Longshan culture via Shang-Zhou times to the Han-Tang period, the site has provided valuable material for studying the history and culture of those ages.
