Abstract Two strains of Egg Drop Sydrome Virus(EDSV),M-1 and 127,were propagated in specific HI-antibody-free duck embryoes.After inoculation,at different time diferent embryo tissue was collected.The quantities of the propagated virus were measured by haemagglutination(H A)test.The results showed that the propagating properties of the two strains were similar.The highest HI titers,18.29±2.69(log2)and 15.00±163(log2)of the two strains respectively,had been detected in allotanic fluid which was collected at 120hour after inoculotion.While HI titers in other samples such as amnoiotic fluid,chorioallantoic membrane(CAM),embryo liver were much lower.In addition,it was found that the virulence of strain M-1 was much significantly stronser than that of strain 127(p<0.01).
