罗伯特·彭斯是18世纪末英国最伟大的浪漫主义诗人。他特别擅长抒情短诗的创作,而《一朵红红的玫瑰》就是其中杰出的代表。在短短4个诗节中,作者用简洁明快的语言表达了自己对所爱之人纯真的爱恋及其朴素、纯洁的爱情观:无私、永恒、相濡以沫。
Robert Burns is one of the greatest poets in late 18th century. he is at home in short lyrics writing &A Red Red Rose is considered as one of the best short lyrics created by him. In the four short stanzas, the author succeeded in using simple, precise language to express his genuine love to his lover and his simply & pure love philosophy: unselfishness, eternity and happy & smooth companionship.
