摘要
魏晋南北朝大地主集团的休闲娱乐消费建立在其特权利益的基础之上。其主要表现是筵宴酗酒、观赏表演艺术、游览与狩猎、弈棋与赌博、游戏与玩具的观赏、赛牛与斗鸡及驯养宠物、沉湎夜生活等方面。这种消费具有以下几个明显的特征1、具有强烈的纵欲性,特别是不顾道德的约束;2、过分追求娱乐过程中的舒适安逸,相对轻冒险、磨炼及对自然、自我的挑战;3、领导集团在消费引导方面的极端荒唐性。这种消费特别是领导集团的荒唐引导严重地腐蚀了官僚队伍,使之充斥懒汉、色迷、酒徒和赌棍,这个时期的任何政权都不可能依靠这样的队伍来获得长久治安。它也产生了某些积极影响,丰富了古代消费文化的内涵,客观上刺激了某些生产的发展,特别是机械技术的发展。
The recreational consumption of the big landlord clique was based on its own privilege in Wei, Jin and the Southern and Northern Dynasties. It was mainly manifested in feasting and excessive drinking, watching and admiring artistic performances, touring and hunting, playing chess and gambling, enjoying games and toys, bull-racing and cock-fighiting, taming pets and indulging in night-life, etc. This kind of consumption had the following characteristice:(1) strong sense of indulgence in sensual pleasures even disregarding moral constraints.(2)excessively seeking ease and comfort but despising adventures, hardships and their challenge to Nature and to themselves. (3) the absurdity of the leading clique in its guidance in consumption. Such consumption seriously corrupted the rank of bureaucrats, giving rise to so many idlers, lust maniacs, drunkards and gamblers, that no political regime during that period could maintain a permanent safety and stability of the society by relying on this bureaucratic rank. But the consumption also brought forth a certain positive influence on enriching the implication of the ancient consumption culture, stimulating objectively the development of production in some fields, especially in the invention of mechanical techniques.
