摘要
“气韵”是我国古老而又重要的美学范畴之一。长期以来 ,诸多学者就“气韵”的概念、特征及内涵等做了诸多方面的研究和探讨 ,但仍然未能正确阐释它产生与发展的根本动因 ,更缺乏对其内涵和外延以及与其他审美范畴之间关系的合理把握。“气韵”与“传神”虽然有一定的继承关系 ,但毕竟是两个不同的命题。气韵属于艺术作品中艺术效果之总汇 ,它既是统帅形式的重要因素 ,又是作品内在生命的本原。气韵是艺术创作的原动力 。
Character(qiyun)” is one of both old and vital aesthetic categories. For a long period of time, all aspects of the “character”, such as its concept, characteristics and essence, have been widely explored and examined. Unfortunately, up till now, the vital motivation for its generation and development has not yet been properly interpreted, let alone have a reasonable control over the relationship between its denotation and connotation and other aesthetic categories. Although there is some successive connection between “character” and “lifelikeness”, they are two different propositions. The “character” as the sum total of artistic effects in artistic works is the dominant factor of all artistic forms and the origin of inner energy of artistic works. In this sense, the “character” is the primitive motivation of artistic production, whose philosophic basis lies in the incorporation of nature, social life and art.
