To perform a piece of music on flutes, nine requirements must be met. Firstly, a solid foundation in playing skill is to be obtained through practice. Secondly, the style of the particular piece of music should be exactly mastered. Thirdly, the rhythm of the music is to be managed well. Fourthly, the tempo and speed must be handled skillfully. Fifthly, the points of breath-taking should be well arranged. Sixthly, slight changes are necessary at the beginning and end of every sentence to make the music more colorful. Seventhly, emotion must be put into the music while performing. Eighthly, it is necessary to learn from famous performers about their performance. Ninthly, the range of knowledge should be enlarged to enhance the connotation of the performed work.
