六层斜压有地形的全球海洋环流数值模拟(一)

摘要 本研究的第一部分即模式设计部分.为研究大尺度海气相互作用,气候及气候变化,我们参考国外有关区域模式,设计和建立了一个有海底地形的六层斜压全球海洋环流模式.分辨率为5°经度×4°纬度,积分区域为70°S和70°N之间的全球海区,最大深度3750m.模式方程为静力近似和Boussinesq近似下的原始方程,模拟海流,温度和盐度.以年平均风应力,年平均海表热通量和盐通量作为强迫条件,从静止状态开始积分,时间足够长以后获得稳定的海流.温、盐分布.另一文将叙述模拟及试验结果. Theis paper is the first part of our research, i.e., the design of the model. Byreferring to the concerned foreign regional model, a baroclinic world ocean model with 6levels and bottom topography has been developed to simulate the climatological meanstates of sea currents, temperature and salinity in the global oceans, and to further study thelarge scale air-sea interaction, climate and its variation, for example, the variation of thecurrents between different seasons caused by the corresponding variation of the trade windsystem over oceans, and the physical process of some events in the oceans. The horizontalresolution is 5 ° longitude × 4 ° ltitude, the distance between the vertical grids increasesdownward. The integration domain in the global sea area is from 70 ° S to 70 ° N. Themaximum depth of the numerical simulation is. 3,750m. The formulation of the model isbased on the primitive equation with hydrostatic and Boussinesq approximations in theSPherical coordinate system. The model is integrated for 30 years starting from a rest state forced by annual meanwind stress over the oceans and the temperature, salinity on. the ocean surface, then integrated with the force of heat and salinity fluxes and annual mean wind stress for another 14years . A quasi-equilibrium distributions of currents, temperature and salinity are obtained.The motion of the ocean is divided into two parts: the vertical mean currents and the deviation values from them. The vertical mean currents are expressed by the stream function anda vorticity equation is solved numerically to find the stream function, while the equationsfor the deviation values are solved by an appropriate numerical method. Some specialsmoothing operations are used for the region of high latitudes and the grid points near thelateral boundary. The time step is taken for 48 hours for the temperature and salinity, but 2hours for the flow field.On the basis of previous simulation, we use the model to do two experiments.
