The 3-D turbulent swirling and recirculating gas-particle flows in a dual-inlet dump combustor with central inlet tubes have been simulated by using a two-fluid model together with a k-ε-Ap two-phase turbulence model (Ap-Algebraic model of particle tubulence).The results show gas and particle strong reverse flow zones in the near axis region of the combustor head part with remarkable velocity slip between two phases. Predicted gas axial and tangential velocity profiles are in good agreement with experiments. Predicted, as well as measured low particle concentration in the reserse flow zone indicates the necessity of changing the fuel-supply position. The discrepancy between predicted and measured particle concentration profiles is caused due to the shortcomings of the k-ε-Ap model,
