受语言学研究的启示本文将翻译研究分为外在性的翻译研究和内在性的翻译研究外在性的翻译研究即传统的翻译研究重点放在与翻译结果相关的方法标准及功能上内在性的翻译研究可称之为认知取向的翻译研究它主要从认知的角度对翻译过程进行解释试图建立具有心理现实性的翻译模式并以此揭示翻译的心理机制和思维规律文章还对英国学者Bell
In the light of Chomsky's distinction between E-language and I-language, this paper attempts to classify translation studies into two types: externalized and internalized. The former, which traditional translation studies falls into, centres on methods, norms and functions of translation relating to the products of translating. The latter, which can be called cognition-oriented translation studies, centres on a justifiable interpretation of translation process, aims to base a translation model on the psychological reality and reveal the psychological mechanisms of translating. The paper also offers a review of Bell's translation process model. It concludes that as a new paradigm, cognition-oriented translation studies is supposed to contribute to the establishment of translation science.
