摘要
采用多能级原子模型,讨论了一维正交偏振光场中自由原子的多普勒致冷,推出了作用于原子上的阻尼力的表达式,并求出了多普勒致冷的下限温度。还讨论了多普勒致冷与偏振梯度致冷的关系。
Doppler cooling of free atoms in one dimensional orthogonal linear polarization laser field is discussed in the model of multiplied atomic states. The friction force is derived, and the lowest temperature of Doppler cooling is obtainted. The relationship between Doppler cooling and polarization gradient cooling is discussed.
