摘要
《荀子》一书词义颇为灵活，有所谓“奥谊艰辞”之称，历代注家各执一辞，多有分歧。笔者选取众家分歧较大而至今尚无定论的若干条词语，参照杨倞、王氏父子、郝懿行、刘师培等人的旧注加以辨析，对于各家说解均不合《荀子》文原旨的而发表己见。试提出几条以就教于方家。
Xunzi (荀子) gained the fame of being 'abstruse significance and obscure phraseology'. Various annotations each sticks to its own argument, so divergence stays. The author selected some words still under disputation, consulted the discriminated annotations of Ｙang Liang (杨倞), Wang Niansun (王念孙) and Wang Yinzhi (王引之), HaoYixing (郝懿行) and Liu Shipei (刘师培), gave her own distinct interpretations where other emerged annotations all distorted from the original mean- ing of Xunzi(荀子). She is expecting more creative ideas from experts and scholars.
