Wolf'is an important role in the story of art as a totem of the aboriginal culture as well as in myths and legends, which is a also good way for people to understand the art history. But wolf as a hero-archetype does not influence literature directly except that it transforms from Creator and hero of the world to Dionysus. It was a very complicated transformation in the western history, while the paper suggests that the Odiesis may have come from the legend of Remus and Romulus, and that the new idea of civilization of the West has changed and rewritten the myths and legends, so Wolf had been completely banished and become 'a lost link in the chain'.
