摘要
The Guanshan site lies at Luoxi village, Helixi town, Ningguo city, and was excavated in October-November, 1993, in an area of 45 sq m. The cultural deposits of the Western Zhou period on the site yielded pottery, protoporcelain, stone tools and bronzes. The pottery constitutes the main finds. It consists of sandy ware and then hard-fired ware with impressed design; and sandy vessels occur in a small number. In type there are the ding tripod, li tripod, jar, basin, bowl, dou stemmed vessel, etc. Stratigraphical evidence and the pottery features suggest that the Western Zhou remains can be divided into two phases with the starting point at a late stage of the middle Western Zhou while the terminal date presumably no later than the late Western Zhou.
