摘要
英语习语是英语经过长期使用而提炼出来的固定词组、短语或短句。英美民族文化的传统习俗、重大历史事件、神话传说都在习语中有所体现。习语的翻译必须在深谙其文化背景的基础上进行,需要采取直译、直译加注、意译等多种方法才能打破语言间的壁垒,准确传达信息。
I diomatic phrases are phrases or short sentences drawn from language practice in a long time, and English national culture, tradition and significant events in addition of mythology are all shown in them, who pursue the work of translating must have known English national culture background well, and should take diverse ways - such as literal translation, free translation, literal translation with annotation, and mix of all above - to break through barriers between languages and communicate information exactly.
