摘要
“人本宗教”是建立在人道主义立场上的以人为根本的宗教 ,它与以神为本的宗教是不同的。本文主要阐述乔治·艾略特的“人本宗教”道德观的形成及特征 ,并分析其早期小说《牧师情史》如何通过利己主义者、利他主义者和“外乡人”等形象的塑造 ,来表明她的“人本宗教”道德观的。
The religious morals of George Eliot is a ″humanistic religion″ which was based on humanitarianism. This paper tries to explore the origin and characteristics of this view as represented in her earlier novel Mr. Gilfils Love Story. The paper shows how the novelist demonstrated her moral ideas through portrayals of various characters.
