摘要
追溯了 Cherenkov 效应和 Cherenkov 辐射材料的研究历史,重点介绍了曾成功用作 Cherenkov 辐射探测器的铅玻璃和立方氟化铅晶体的性能特点,并对目前正在研究的钨酸铋钠和重掺杂钨酸铅晶体进行了评述和讨论。
The development on Cherenkov effect and Cherenkov radiation materials are evaluated in this pa- per.The main properties of lead glasses and cubic lead fluoride crystals,which have been successfully used as Cherenkov radiation materials,are discussed.The latest developed promising Cherenkov materials,NaBi(WO_4)_2 and RE:PbWO_4 crystals as well as their growth techniques,are compared with the former Cherenkov materials.Cubic PbF_2 crystals are regarded as the best Cherenkov radiation materials in the application of low energy calorimetry.
