摘要
根据彼特 .纽马克的翻译理论体系中的“意义走失”论 ,重新审视文学翻译中存在的“意义走失”、“文化走失”和“风格走失”等现象 ,阐述了由于不同文化背景下语言的联想意义不同、文学语言独特的美学或诗学功能、中西语言特点各异和文学审美主体审美偏好效应与价值取向等诸多因素的影响 ,文学翻译中不可避免地会存在着“走失”
This paper employs Peter Newmark's translation theory of“meaning-lost' to provide new perspectives with which to reconsider such phenomena in literary translation as “meaning-lost', “culture-lost', and “style-lost' etc., and analyses that these “lost' phenomena may unavoidably exist in literary translation due to such factors as 1) language with different associative meaning in different cultural background; 2)the unique aesthetic value or poetic value of literary language and different characteristics in Chinese and English; 3) aesthetic utility and value preference of translator.
