Block is a great poet of symbolism and a famous lyricist in the Silver Period of Russian literature. He enjoyed high reputation in the world because of his individualistic linguistic art in his poetry. Block's linguistic outlook of poetry can be summarized as follows: the rationalization of symbols, the musicalization of words and the colourization of images. This outlook is manifested in his choice of linguistic structures and his experiment with poetic language.
