Relationship between both expressions of E-cadherin and α-catenin and biological behaviors of human cervical cancer

摘要 目的 研究E 钙粘素(E cd)和α连接素(αcat)在宫颈癌组织中的表达与其生物学行为的关系, 探讨宫颈癌浸润、转移的机制。方法 应用免疫组织化学S P法检测E cd和αcat在41例宫颈癌和10例正常宫颈组织中的表达。结果 E cd和αcat在宫颈癌异常表达率分别为51.2% 和68.3% , 与正常宫颈组织相比均有显著差异(P<0.01)。E cd表达下调与宫颈癌增殖活性、分化程度和有无淋巴结转移显著相关(P<0.05, P<0.05, P<0.01)。αcat的异常表达与宫颈癌的分化程度,有无淋巴结转移和肌层浸润的深度显著相关(P<0.01, P<0.05, P<0.05)。同一标本中, E cd和αcat的异常表达有显著的相关性和一致性(P<0.01)。结论 宫颈癌广泛存在E cd和αcat蛋白表达下调, 联合检测E cd和αcat蛋白表达可作为评价宫颈癌分化和浸润转移的较好指标。 Objective To investigate expression of E-cadherin and α-catenin in human cervical cancer and its relationship with the biological bahavior. Methods Immunohistochemical S-P method was used in 41 cervical cancer and 10 normal cervical sampes for detection of E-cadherin (E-cd) and α-catenin (α-cat). Results Abnormal immunoreactivity for E-cd (51.2%) andα-cat (68.3%) in cervical cancers were observed, which were different from normal group ( P <0.01). Abnormal expression of E-cadherin was significantly correlated with tumor proliferation status, differentiation status and lymph node metastasis ( P < 0.05, P < 0.05, P <0.01). The rate of abnormalα-catenin in cervical cancers were correlated with tumor differentiation status, lymph node metastasis and the depth of cancer invasion ( P <0.01, P <0.05, P <0.05). The consistency of abnormal expression of E-cdh andα-cat significantly correlated with each other ( P <0.01). Conclusions Decreased expression of E-cadherin andα-catenin occur frequently in cervical cancers. The expression of E-cdh andα-cat may be useful markers for assessing differentiation, invasion and metastasis of cervical cancers.
