Painstakingly tracing the records in a dairy found accidentally, Wang Zhenzhong, a scholar of Anhui Province's history, foundthe village boy who wrote the dairy. In it was recorded his experiences of the turmoil before and after 1949 that took place inShuilan Village, which is bounded by Anhui and Jiangxi provinces.
