作者在整理陕西省秦岭山区的食蚜蝇标本时 ,发现木蚜蝇族 3新种 ,即黑腹短角木蚜蝇Brachypalpoidesni grabdomenissp .nov .、紫色木蚜蝇Xylotacupripurpurasp .nov .
The following three new species of Xylotini (Diptera, Syrphidae) are found from Qinling-Mountain Area, Shaanxi Provinec, China: Brachypalpoides nigrabdomenis sp. nov., Xylota cupripurpura sp. nov. and Xylota honghe sp. nov. The descriptions and figures are given. Type specimens are kept in Shaanxi Bioresource Key Laboratory, Shaanxi Technology University Hanzhong.Brachypalpoides nigrabdomenis sp. nov. (Figs. 1-7) Male. Head slightly broader than thorax in width. Vertex shining black, covered with yellow long hairs. Frons shining black, covered with white tomentum basally and laterally. Face black, covered with white tomentum, with a row of white short hairs along the eye-margin. Frontal prominence developed. Face with a deep emargination below frontal prominence. Frontal margin of oral opening prominently forwar- ded. Arista long and bare. Mesonotun with a pair of middle gray stripes indistinctly. Leg black. Hind femur slightly thickened, with black seta ventrally along the outer side in full length and the basal half part of inner side. Hind femur with thick black spines on the both sides of the ventral end. The hind tibia without spines on basal ventral carina. Abdomen black and narrower than thorax, 1.5 times in length as head and thorax together. The second tergite is the longest and the fourth the shortest (except for the first tergite). Male genitalia as showed in Figs. 4-7. Female: unknown. ♂ Length: body 13mm, wing 11.5mm. Holotype ♂, Huoditang (1400m,33°28′ N, 108°25′ E), Ningshan County, Shaanxi Province, China, 10 July 2003, collected by HUO Ke-Ke. The new species is similar to Brachypalpoides makiana (Shiraki), but differs in the legs black and hind femur slightly thickened. The new species is also similar to Brachypalpoides lenta (Meigen), but the latter species with abdomen mostly reddish, only the first tergite and the base of second tergite black, hind femur thickened.
