摘要
据1991年对宜昌——江阴(1512km)河段进行白暨豚生态考察,在湖北宜昌——城陵矶、湖北螺山——新滩口、安徽官洲——黑沙洲、江苏镇江长约800km 河段内仅观察到白鳍豚86头,与1986年同期同河段内观察数相比,减少104—106头,其自然群体数量平均年衰减比例为14.60—14.84%,按此比例推算,我国白鳍豚自然群体数量已不足128—130头。作者认为,水利工程、工业污染、渔业、航运等人类经济活动的影响,是造成白鳍豚自然群体数量锐减的主要原因。建议加强对野生种群及其栖息地的就地保护,同时挑选健康的自然小群迁入“养护水域”,开展白鳍豚保护生物学研究。
Based on the field ecological survey of the reaches from Yichang to Jiangyin about1512 kilometers long in 1991,the observed number of Baiji was only 86 individuals in thefollowing reaches about 800 kilometers:from Yichang to Chenglingji,Hubei;from Luoshangto Xintankou,Hubei;from Guanzhou to Heishazhou,Anhui;Zhenjiang,Jiangsu.The number of deccease totaled 104—106 in individuals,compared with the same periodin 1986.Its average rate of decrease was 14.60—14.84 percent per year.According to this rate,it is estimated that the total number of population of Baiji amounts to less than 128—130.In author's judgement,the effects of human economical activities upon the Baiji(forexmale,the construction of water conservancy project,industry pollution,fishery andshipping development,etc.)are the principal factors which have caused Baiji's populationsize decrease rapidly for the past five years.The following suggestions are proposed by the author:(1)to protect the natural habitation,(2)to emigrate the healthy Baiji of several small groups into the water of Baiji reservesite,(3)to study the protec—biology upon the Baiji.
