摘要
符号影响着我们的信仰和我们的选择。孟浩然大量使用水符号,表述和传达出一种因价值失落而引发惜痛的辛酸,其主要兴奋点一直聚焦于主体自我价值。水被诗人广泛地情致化,用以体现个体生命与社会及其自然的关系,成为诗人承载其人格精神和思想意趣的最合适外物。诗人企图放弃政治,然而他终究不能放弃儒家价值理想的追求,而其性格和生活态度上又常常以"道"的形态出现,这就形成了他"外道内儒"的生命风采。
Symbols tend to exert influences upon our beliefs and choices. The use of large numbers of water symbols in Meng Haoran's poems indicates and conveys a sense of sorrow and bitterness brought about by the loss of values, with the values of the subjective self as the forever focus. The extensively sentimentalized water images give expression to the relationships between the individual life and society and nature, thus becoming the most appropriate symbols of the poet's personality and poetic spirits. He longs to discard his political ambitions, but can hardly give up his ideal in pursuit of Confucius values. Nevertheless, his character and life attitude still carries much of Taoism, and this consequently forms his splendid profile of “Confucian in character but Taoist in appearance'.
