摘要
徐继在《瀛环志略》中对全球主要国家 ,尤其是欧洲列强的实力进行了全面系统的阐述 ;以世界多元化的视角 ,分析了欧洲强大的历史及现实原因 ,并对近代世界格局的状况和中国周边的危机进行了分析 ,指出中国要在应对国际“变局”中 ,知己知彼 。
Xu Ji-yu gave an all-round and systematic introduction of main countries in the world, especially the European great powers, in his 《Brief Introduction of the world over》.Having analysed the historical and realistic causes of Europe's becoming powerful,the setup of the modern world and the crises around China, Xu Ji-yu pointed out that China should know both sides and exert itself constantly to cope with the changing international situation.
