摘要
研究生英语教学应以培养语言运用能力为主，以传授语言知识为辅。本文分析了英国语言学家的一些教学模式。结合我国研究生英语教学的具体情况阐明了如何利用现行教材探索应用型讨论式的研究生英语教学模式。
The development of communicative abilities should be taken as the primary and the teaching of language knowledge as the secondary in postgraduate English instruction.The paper makes an analysis of some teaching models provided by the British linguists and specifies some explorations in discussion and application approaches of postgraduate English teaching in combination of ELT situation for the Chinese postgraduates.
