According to Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) projection is a logic semantic relation between clauses:one clause is ‘projected’ through another.It involves a complex of interaction relationship in its making of meanings, which go beyond what is usually covered in common grammatical description of the reported speech.The paper will briefly outline the concept of projection and then discuss the relationship between projection and text.
