摘要
间接言语作为重要的语用现象一直受到语用学间接言语行为理论的高度重视。少数语用学著作简述过各自的测定间接性的方法。可用"以'曲折'见'长'"的方法来测定间接言语的间接性。间接性不是一个恒量,而是一个变量,是相对的,不是绝对的。
Indirect use of language has lent itself to a big dimension of discussion in the indirect speech act theory, though not many people have touched upon the calculation of directness. Indirectness can be measured by the round-aboutness (of utterances), which is a fluid and comprehensive notion, encompassing cognition, metaphor and interpersonal rhetoric.
