摘要
行程码是一种简单有效的图像编码方法。在图像灰度变化较少的情况下有较高的压缩比,但当图像存在噪声以及灰度变化频繁时效率不高。本文提出了一种图像平整的预处理方法,能使图像在失真较小的情况下有较高的压缩比。本算法完全并行,并能较好地保留边缘。实验结果也表明了这种算法的可行性。
As a simple and effective method,run length encoding has its widerange applications in image data compression.Nevertheless,its efficiency decreaseswhen the image is severely deformed by noise or its grey levels are changedfrequently The new algorithm used in flattening,whioh serves the functions ofeliminating noise and unifing grey levels of adjacent pixels with little difference,is specially tailored to deal with the problem.Together with a theoretical proof,our experiments give good insight into the new method,which possesses theadvantages of low complexity,high compression ratio,high accuracy of edgereservation and high speed.
