摘要
新城市主义是指1980年代,针对郊区的无序蔓延及城市衰落,在美国城市规划及建筑界出现的一种思潮。本文介绍了美国新城市主义思想产生的历史背景及理论渊源,通过对新城市主义相关理论的分析和研究,从而找出对我国住区规划设计的种种启示和借鉴。
New urbanism means the new trendof thought in 1980s, during the disordered ex-tending towards the suburb and the decline ofthe cities. The paper introduces the historicalbackground and the source of the new urbanism,which would be a revelation to the planning de-sign of the residential quarters in China
