摘要
在总结以前有关嵌入式小波零树(EZW)图像压缩编码算法的基础上,提出了一种基于半自适应霍夫曼的增强型嵌入式小波零树图像编码算法(HAEZW)。该算法扩充了空间方向树的表示符号,然后根据各符号出现的概率,按位平面采用半自适应霍夫曼编码。实践证明,这种基于半自适应霍夫曼的增强型EZW算法对提高图像数据的压缩比是十分有效的。
On the basis of summarizing formerly representative algorithms on the embedded zerotree wavelet(EZW)image compression coding,a half-adaptive-Huffman based on augmented EZW(HAEZW) image coding algorithm was proposed. Firstly, this algorithm augments expressed symbols of spatial orientation tree. Then,according to occurring probability of different symbol adopted half-adaptive-Huffman coding based on bit-plane. Practice verifies that the HAEZW algorithm is very effective on enhancing compression rate of image data.
