Copper(II) triflate chiral derivatives chelated with bis(oxazoline)s, phosphoramidites, phosphites, phosphonites or other C 2-symmetric chiral ligands have been extensively studied as excellent chiral catalysts in asymmetric synthesis. This review describes in detail the recent advances in the application of these chiral copper(II) catalysts in enantioselective cycloaddition, aldol, conjugate addition, carbonyl-ene and cyclopropanation reactions.
