摘要
在距今0.7Ma的B/M古地磁极性界线附近,华南沿海发生了一系列地质事件,其中包括火山喷发、断裂、褶皱、不整合、侵蚀、玻璃陨石撒落及气候突变事件。这种突发性的事件群是受地球星体运动统一控制的,并具有某种周期性,可与中国北方和其他大陆对比。文中提出了新灾变论的观点。
Along the coast of South China,a series of geological events occurred around the B/ M polarity limit of paleomagnetism. Hainan tektite is an outcome of astronomic event. The tektite,of which the ages are about 0. 7Ma. B. P. ,spreads in the area about 18?1'-21?0'N and 108?0'-112?0'E in South China. Between Beihai Formation and Zhan-jiang Formation, there are some erosional surfaces or unconformity surfaces, ages of which are about 0. 7-0. 8Ma. B. P. . A lot of faults and folds were found in Zhanjiang Formation. Age of eruption activity of the Shimaoling volcanism is about 0. 73-0. 84Ma. B. P. . During 0 . 7-0. 8Ma. B. P,there are climatic-sedimentary changes from Zhanjiang Formation to Beihai Formation, including size fractions, clay minerals, sedimentary facies,chemical compositions,vegetations,sea level and so on.
These events show a remarkable similarity in age and period to North China. From this,a new conception is suggested,i. e. the Quaternary sw,arm geological events,called 'climatic-tectonic cycles',may be conditioned by planetary movement of the earth and celestial movement. This conception is a new catastrophism.
