摘要
通过回顾英语教学的历史 ,证明语法在英语教学中的作用 ,并从理论和实践的角度论证大学英语语法的必要性。针对语法教学的主要难题———该教什么提出把功能语法作为大学语法教学内容的设想。
This paper intends to reinforce the importance of grammar teaching from historical, theoretical and practical perspectives. It insists that the key problem in college English teaching is not whether to teach but what to teach and points out that functional grammar can be taken as the focus in college English grammar teaching.
