Through the truth or falsehood of identities, relations and conducts of characters in Jinpingmei(Plum in the Gold Vase),the novel reflects the loss of human nature after the ruin of feudal ethics. By commenting the family of Ximen and uncovering the surface of the old and absurd society, the author tells us the truth of corrupt society.
