During the US great depression from 1929 to 1933,the employment situation was acute. After he became US president,F.D. Roosevelt practiced his New Deal to solve the employment issue. The policy directly relieved the unemployed workers, expanded employment by creating work as relief, protected those out of jobs through social security laws, and made use of natural resources reasonably. As a result, the unemployment pressure was greatly reduced and promoted the recovery of economy.Though it did not basically sole the issue of unemployment,it provided helpful revelation and lessons for the days to come.
