摘要
英国的学术期刊体制产生于17世纪。它是英国学术共同体为满足学者的需求,逐渐探索而成的。由英国皇家学会创办的《哲学汇刊》是近代早期英国第一本学术期刊,它是皇家学会发展壮大的结果。该学术团体所获得的法人权利,是其进一步发展的基础。学术期刊体制产生以来,在学术界发挥了一系列重要的学术功能,成为学者间交流与合作的纽带,增强了学者对知识产权的保护意识和保护手段,并为学术界提供了学术认同的平台。到19世纪,英国皇家学会将学术奖励与学术期刊体制创造性地结合在一起,更增强了学术期刊的认同功能。近代早期英国学术期刊体制的形成,是这一时期英国知识创新的重要动因。
Since 20 th century, knowledge production has been acknowledged as an important power for the progress of the society. More and more academic researches focus their attentions on fi nding the advantage for improving of knowledge production. In 1950 s, a few western scholars began to interest in the function of some academic systems for improving of knowledge production. And then this new method became a paradigm. England is the earliest rising power of Europe in early modern times. The Scientifi c Revolution, the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution showed that the knowledge production played an important part in the progress of the England. It is worth thinking what power to improve such a progress of the knowledge production. The academic serial systems were established in 17th-19 th. The author thinks the researches on the improving of the academic serial systems of England can make us to find out the cause of the progress of the knowledge production of England.
