摘要
西方医疗社会史是经由社会史与传统医学史的学科交叉而形成的新专门史。为了深入理解和把握这一新学科,有必要回顾20世纪医疗社会史产生的基本脉络和主要成因,阐述医疗社会史研究与整个文明史和史学演变趋势相契合的学术发展特点。同时,针对医疗济贫、医患关系等医疗社会史前沿问题,进行评价和反思。历史表明,医疗行业问题曾反复出现,医疗社会史研究从来没有像今天这样彰显出其重要的学术价值和社会意义。
Social history of medicine in the West originated from the disciplinary crossing of Social History and Medicine, and came into being as a new branch of history of particular subjects in the 20 th century. To understand and grab the spirit of the new branch, it's necessary to review origins and evolution of it, and to reveal its main academic attributes tallying with the general history of civilization and the trend of development of history. Furthermore, it's helpful to evaluate and rethink such frontier issues as medical relief, relationship between patients and doctors. History shows that social problems in the medical circle emerge repeatedly, studies on social history of medicine have never highlighted the academic value and social signifi cance of the new branch of history of particular sublects.
