摘要
In D.H.Lawrence’s short story"The Princess,"we can find a spinster who cannot love others nor be loved.From the psychological point of view,her tragedy can be interpreted as the result of the counter-Electra complex of the father towards the daughter and the resulted Electra complex of the daughter to the father.From the analysis,this paper tries to reveal Lawrence’s concern over such Freudian psychological problems.
