Müller细胞在视网膜中的功能和作用

摘要 Müller细胞在视网膜中发挥多种功能,包括能量及营养代谢和视觉信息的处理。同时,它还参与视网膜神经递质的代谢、维持视网膜水和离子环境以及酸碱度的稳定。Müller细胞在视网膜的内部环境中发挥的重要作用。此外,Müller细胞分化为视网膜祖细胞或多能干细胞的研究也为许多疾病的治疗指出了新的研究方向。 Müller cells have a multitude of function including a metabolic symbiosis and the processing of visual information. Müller cells are responsible for the maintaenance of the homeostasis of the retinal extracellular milieu-ions, water, neurotransmitter molecules,and pH. It means that müller cells play a important role in the internal environment of the retina. In recent years,there are many researches show that Müller cells express markers for neural progenitor cells even in the adult tissue. It is conceivable that the 'Müller stem cells'could be used in the future for cell-based therapies to treat or prevent retinal disease.
