康熙年间,一位西洋传教士在宫中教授皇子乐理并参与编纂《律吕正义》,备受皇帝恩宠:旋即,触犯“龙颜”,被捕下狱。此人便是意大利人德理格。
In Kangxi's reign a Western missionary taught music theory to the princes in the court and participated in the compilation of Lu Lu Zheng Yi (a series of 12 standard bamboo tuning pitch pipes). For this reason he won the emperor's favour. But, immediately afterwards, he was arrested and put in prison for his offence to the emperor. This man is the Italian missionary Theodoricus Pedrini.
