ACROSS urban and rural areas in the south of Anhui Province are illustrious cultural relics and other ancient treasures left by wealthy "huishang" (Anhui merchants) from the Tang to the Qing Dynasties and ancient celebrities. Among these relics, memorial archways, ancestral temples and civil residences are the most extraordinary ones and honored the "three glories of Anhui" in traditional Chinese architecture.
