Protein kinase C(PKC) is a multifunctional protein kinase which belongs to amultigene family of fundamental importance in growth regulation of the cells. Manystudies have indicated that the distinct isoenzymes exhibit different cell functions.To further elucidate the functional role of specific forms of PKC in growth controland their possible molecular mechanisms, we have constructed the NRK cell modelthat overexpressed PKCβ I isoform for the first time.
