摘要
毫无疑问,韦尔申在9O年代中国具象艺术中是最为重要的画家之一.如更准确地讲,他应该是以肖像为主的艺术家.通过他那种持续性地对视觉造型的关注,并在画面的每一条线及画面的肌理中融入一种哲学的理智思考,使之呈现出奇异的视觉现象.其主要特征就是将被描绘的客观对象当做一种永恒的物体来描绘.“画得灵魂出壳”(韦尔申语),在如雕塑般的形象与形体中创造出一种永恒.从各种无规定性的肌理及其断裂中体验一种时间的沉积.他始终关心着当代文化的发展,并试图通过对传统图式的挪用和通俗性的色彩来改变空间。
Mr. Wei Ershen has thought and handled the issues of reality and existing environment from philosophy angle, interesting in the development and changes of modern culture all along. Since 1994 he passed from tranditional pattern of visual sense into the humanistic landscape of post modernism. His oil artistry that reflets the thinking about present culture and society by himself introduced his representative painting into an unrepresentative and philosophical expression by means of tranditional way of pattern and popular colours and then widened the expressive border of representative arts. Now he has become one of the famous artists in China.
