摘要
人口问题与资源、环境、粮食等问题将是２１世纪人类社会面临的主要问题。内蒙古虽然地广人稀，由于沙漠、戈壁等干旱、半干旱面积占总面积的８０％以上，生态环境脆弱，土地承载能力较低，加之区域经济不发达，人口增长导致的社会、环境压力仍很突出。本文对内蒙古的人口问题从人口总量与持续发展，人口性别、年龄、职业、民族构成、人口地区分布等方面作了剖析。
The population problem and the problems of resources, environment, and grain will be the the chief problems man is to confront in the 21 century. Although Inner Mongolia has a vast territory with a sparse population, the pressure of the social environment brought to it by the increasing population is still very great, because more than 80% of its territory is arid and half arid desert, its ecological environment very weak, the bearing capacity of its land small, and its regional economy not developed. This paper , making an analysis of the population problem of Inner Mongolia, its total number and its steady increase, its sex, age, profession, composition of nationalities and its distribution, puts forward some solutions to the problem as reference for policy-making departments.
