摘要
本文试图将语言学理论知识运用于翻译实践 ,从一个新的角度来探讨如何使英译句子结构趋向合理化。探讨了在汉译英中当尾心与尾重难以保持一致时的各种处理办法 :可仅保留尾心 ;也可将信息中心移至句首或句中从而仅保留尾重。此外 ,在主位、述位内部还可根据词语的信息值高低来安排前后位置。
This paper tries to apply linguistic theory to translatin practice by means of studying the rationalization of word order in the English translation from a new perspective. The author specifically explores various ways of organizing the English sentence when the end-focus conflicts with the end-weight: namely, to keep the end-focus only; to deep the end-weight only while moving the center of information to the initial or the middle position of the sentence. In addition, within the theme and rheme, word order is to be arranged according go the relative informational value of each word involved. The author concludes the paper by analyzing the various constraining factors that influence ordering of sentence.
