摘要
Teacher's questions have traditionally been viewed as an important constituent of teacher talk in classroom context. Ever since Socrates, questioning skills have been addressed now and then for its unique significance in general education. With growing attention to ESL and EFL actions, teacher's questions have been studied for its taxonomy, purposes, functions, and skills. Questioning behaviors, however, remain mystical to many of the grass-root teachers in EFL context. This article is intended to discuss some of the common problems prevailing in the questioning behaviors of foreign language teachers, including choices of when to ask, who to ask, and how to ask.
